Mixed Lead-Zinc Concentrate Procurement

We evaluate mixed lead-zinc concentrates with combined Pb + Zn above 40%. Oxide and sulphide materials are assessed lot by lot.

For mine owners, processing plants, cargo owners and authorised traders. Start with separate Pb and Zn results, the cargo location and available quantity, then establish the assay, origin and delivery details.

Pb + Zn >40% is RTV’s commercial screening threshold. Material type, impurities, origin, documents and import eligibility still require review. Meeting the threshold is neither import approval nor a purchase commitment.

SEPARATE VALUES, COMBINED ASSESSMENT

42% and 40% have different outcomes

Hypothetical examples only: these are not inventory, assay reports or transaction records. Both values must concern the same lot on the same assay basis.

Pb 17% + Zn 25%

=42%

Above the screening threshold

Submit the lot details for further review. Acceptance, pricing and import eligibility remain subject to verification.

Pb 15% + Zn 25%

=40%

Does not exceed the threshold

Exactly 40% does not satisfy >40%. Report the actual result without rounding it up.

Do not combine results from different samples, lots or dry/wet bases. Separate Pb and Zn values support both commercial screening and subsequent verification.

COMPOSITION FIRST, THEN THE CARGO

Four points to establish for mixed concentrates

Report Pb and Zn separately

The combined value is used for commercial screening, but each metal’s individual result must remain available. A statement of ‘42% combined lead and zinc’ alone is insufficient. Do not add results from different stockpiles.

One lot, one assay basis

Identify the report date, sample number and corresponding lot. Retain the stated dry or wet basis. Explain differences between sample dates or assay bases before evaluation.

Oxide or sulphide, and processing details

State the actual material type, processing method, particle size, packaging and moisture. Similar names or appearances do not establish identical composition, quantity or acceptance conditions.

Impurities, associated metals and title

Include available results for impurities such as As, Cd, Hg and Tl, associated metals such as Ag, and your relationship to the cargo owner. Mark missing information clearly. Payment for associated metals is negotiated per lot.

YOUR FIRST SUBMISSION

Share available records and identify missing items

Assay information
Separate Pb and Zn results, available moisture and impurity data, assay basis, and report or sample identifiers.
Physical lot
Current location, stockpile or package identifiers, site photos and how they correspond to the report.
Quantity and your role
Separate current stock from planned output and wet tonnes from dry tonnes. Explain your relationship to the owner and which checks you can arrange.
Proposed delivery
Propose a loading port, land-border crossing or arrival transaction in China. The precise location, cost responsibilities and milestones are then negotiated.

Only have partial assay results or photos? Explain what is known and whether the report matches the cargo, then continue checking the lot.

How to prepare an offer →

SOUTHEAST ASIAN DELIVERY ROUTES

Identify the location; agree responsibilities per lot

State the origin, current storage location and proposed delivery point separately. Storage location alone does not establish export readiness or delivery conditions.

FOB at shipment port

Laem Chabang · Hai Phong · Agreed Ho Chi Minh City terminal

Port FOB can be discussed with the named port, loading point, export procedures and shipment arrangements specified. The terminal, transport arrangements and responsibilities must be agreed.

Land-border delivery

Boten, Laos · Agreed Vietnam border point

Confirm the precise delivery point, current cargo location, inland transport and customs responsibilities. Land delivery is agreed separately and is not described as maritime FOB.

Transaction upon arrival in China

Qinzhou · Fangcheng · Nansha

For other cargo locations, transactions upon arrival in China are preferred for discussion. The contract must specify inspection, settlement and title-transfer milestones; arrival alone does not determine them.

These are delivery points open to discussion. They do not imply RTV owns a warehouse or has a permanent office at each location. Export arrangements, documents and import eligibility are checked per lot.

SUPPLIER QUESTIONS

Before you submit an offer

How is the mixed concentrate screening threshold calculated?

Add the separately reported Pb and Zn values for the same lot on the same assay basis. The published commercial threshold is Pb + Zn >40%. If the basis is unclear, explain it first; do not combine results from different reports.

Does a combined result of exactly 40% qualify?

The threshold is strictly above 40%; exactly 40% does not exceed it. Provide the original assay values and basis so the actual lot can be discussed accurately.

Can I submit both oxide and sulphide mixed concentrates?

Yes, both can be submitted for evaluation. Describe the material type, processing, composition, moisture and available impurity results. Meeting the combined grade threshold does not confirm the other acceptance conditions.

Is silver or another associated metal always payable?

Include any available Ag or other associated-metal results. Whether and how a metal is payable, and the assay basis used, are negotiated against the actual results and contract terms.

What are the minimum quantity, payment and title-transfer terms?

Start with the actual available quantity and supply plan. Quantity, price, testing, payment and title-transfer milestones are agreed per lot and contract; this page makes no uniform commitment.
